My post didn't publish
First, read the error message in the Calendar. Most of the time, you just reconnect the account and try again.
Updated October 11, 2026In short: open the Calendar and read the message on the failed post. It tells you what to do. If the account is disconnected, reconnect it before you try again.
How to resend a failed post
- Open the Calendar.
- Find the post that failed.
- Read the error message. It already tells you what to do.
- If the message says the account is disconnected or "Session expired", reconnect the account first. See connecting your social accounts.
- Tap Try again.
The post goes back with the same text and the same choices as before.
If the account is still disconnected, the post will fail again. So reconnect first.
When the error can't be fixed, the only option you'll see is to delete the post.
Why a post fails
It's almost always one of these four reasons:
- The account left CutPro. Example: "Session expired". Fix it by reconnecting the account.
- Something is missing in the post. Example: a field the network requires is empty. Fix it by editing the post.
- The network hit its daily limit. Example: too many Reels in 24 hours. Fix it by waiting. CutPro usually reschedules it for you.
- The network had a quick problem. Example: the network was unstable for a few minutes. Fix it by trying again.
CutPro already tries again on its own
Many quick failures fix themselves before you ever see them.
When that happens, the Calendar shows "Retrying at…" with the time of the next try. You don't need to do anything.
When Instagram hits its limit, CutPro also reschedules on its own, every hour, a few times.
CutPro does not try again on its own when the account left or something is missing in the post. In those cases, you need to reconnect or fix it.
CutPro also avoids posting twice. If it isn't sure the post went out, it checks first. When in doubt, it doesn't post again.
A "partial" post
When you send a post to several accounts, it can end up partial. That means it went out on some accounts and failed on others.
- See which accounts failed.
- Reconnect the account that left, or fix what was missing.
- Try again on those accounts only.
The accounts that already published stay as they are.
Messages that confuse people
"The render hasn't finished yet." The clip wasn't ready when it was time to publish. CutPro tries again later, on its own. If it keeps happening, see my clip won't finish or showed an error.
Instagram removed the caption. The post went out, but without the caption. This happens when Instagram sees the same text on many accounts. Above ten accounts, CutPro changes the text a little on each one, on its own, to avoid this.
The Instagram account became personal. CutPro only publishes to Professional accounts. Switch the account to Professional in the Instagram app. Then reconnect it in CutPro.
TikTok published as "Only me". This isn't an error. TikTok is still reviewing CutPro. Until then, that's the only option TikTok allows.
How to avoid it
The number one reason a scheduled post fails is an account that left CutPro.
- Before a week full of posts, look for the Disconnected accounts block.
- Check the number it shows. It tells you how many scheduled posts will fail.
- Reconnect the accounts listed there.
Two minutes there prevent almost every problem.
